You’re lounging solo in front of a beautiful sunset with no interruptions, no people, and no stress. “I did it,” you think. “I’m finally free.” But days later,  a strange unease bubbles up. What time is it?  You wonder. What was that noise? Why do I keep bumping into everything? Was living an RV Life a terrible mistake?  You cling to your camp chair as the feeling grows, because by then you’re certain: if you let go– you’ll float away.

Today I’ll explain why this happens to full-timers and what you can do to stop it. Continue reading “Full-Time RVers Experience a Strange Sensation When Boondocking”

Is Rocky Mountain National Park the Most Beautiful Place on Earth?

Driving through Rocky Mountain National Park is an exercise in self-control. Each curve reveals a new scenic overlook, or trailhead, or stunning opportunity to get out, take a picture and try to force your mind to accept what it’s seeing: towering peaks covered in snow but surrounded by a technicolor array of wildflowers. As I looked around, I saw the same face, decorating the front of t-shirts, shot glasses and magnets up and down each aisle. As I stared, the attendant called out, “that’s Butch Cassidy. He escaped from every prison they ever put him in,” he said, “’cept one.” That one was the Wyoming Territorial PrisonContinue reading “RV Travel Review: The Wyoming Territorial Prison”

Harvest Hosts Spotlight: Kraay’s Market & Garden

Nestled near the rolling hills of Sun Valley Idaho is a farm pulsing with life. The scent of rich, organic soil fills the air, lush produce of every kind unfurls and stretches towards the Western sun and happy, autumn-colored animals roam underfoot. Just beyond a teepee and flower garden sits a fairy-tale house with Arabian horses trotting nearby.  As if all of this weren’t idyllic enough, out walk wonderful Larry and Sherry Kraay, the purveyors of Kraay’s Market & Garden.
